IGF‑1 LR3 After Surgery — Too Soon?

Started by JJOHNNY HULK 2 hours ago 13 replies 0 views

Has anyone had a discussion around what timing felt right post-op before jumping back in?

Timing really depends on the surgery and what you’re recovering from. IGF-1 LR3 promotes cell growth and proliferation across the board, which is great for muscle. Still, that same mechanism can accelerate tissue repair in ways you don’t always want post-op, like scar tissue formation or if there’s any concern around abnormal cell growth in the area.

Most people I’ve seen discuss this wait a minimum of 6-8 weeks and only once cleared by their surgeon. BPC-157 is usually the first thing people reach for post-surgery since it’s more targeted at tissue healing without the systemic growth signal. Then layer in IGF once the wound site is fully closed and healing is progressing normally.

Jumping into IGF-1 LR3 right after surgery is risky healing needs stability first not extra variables

IGF-1 can promote tissue growth but timing matters more than the compound itself

If the wound hasn’t fully closed it’s generally too soon to experiment

There’s also a concern about abnormal tissue growth or fibrosis if used prematurely

Your body already elevates natural healing signals post surgery don’t rush to override that

Infection risk is another factor anything affecting recovery pathways needs caution.

Blood glucose management matters too IGF 1 can impact insulin sensitivity.

Pain and swelling levels can be signals don’t ignore them in favor of faster gains.

Bottom line prioritize healing first there’s a right time to optimize and this likely isn’t it yet
